Creative Cats by Wendy is a UK-based creative business offering quirky, cat-inspired cards, custom artwork, and hands-on workshops. Wendy had recently started the business and needed a website that captured her personality and showcased her growing range of services and products.

What They Needed:
As a brand-new business, Wendy didn’t have a website and wanted a promotional space that would:

Project: Digital Growth 101

About the Project:
Digital Growth 101 is my own passion project, a platform created to help small business owners and entrepreneurs understand and use digital tools effectively. It offers live workshops, downloadable resources, and online learning in an accessible, jargon-free way.

What It Needed:
The site needed to do a lot – promote events and workshops, offer digital products for purchase, include a regularly updated blog, and eventually expand into online courses and community features. It had to be flexible, low-maintenance, and scalable.

Once your website is live, there are just a few ongoing costs to keep everything running smoothly and I’ve kept them clear, simple, and great value.

💻 Essential Hosting – £99/year

Reliable, UK-based hosting with all the essentials you need to keep your site secure and live.

• Fast, secure UK servers

• Free domain setup or transfer

• Cloudflare SSL (secure padlock)

• Forwarded email setup (e.g. info@yourdomain.co.uk)

🚀 Enhanced Hosting – £150/year

Great if you need business email addresses and enhanced security.

• All features of Essential Hosting

• Up to 10 fully hosted email accounts

• Full SSL certificate for added trust and protection

Domain name renewal is billed separately (usually £15–£25/year depending on the extension). You’ll receive an invoice around one month before the renewal date, and payment will need to be made before that date to avoid any risk of losing the domain.

Your hosting will be based on UK servers for fast performance and GDPR-friendly peace of mind. And of course, you’re always free to host elsewhere if you prefer I’ll support you either way.

These plans are completely optional,  you can manage everything yourself if you prefer. But for many of my clients, knowing that their site is backed up, up-to-date, and in safe hands offers real peace of mind.

Hourly Support: If you don’t have a care package, I’m happy to help at an hourly rate of £40–£70/hr, depending on the work. This price matches current UK freelance market averages for web support and development.

It depends on the complexity. A basic site may take a few weeks, while a custom build can take a couple of months. I’ll provide a realistic timeline at the outset, with milestones so you know exactly where we’re at throughout the process.

Absolutely! All sites are built on WordPress with a drag-and-drop builder like Divi, so you can easily make updates, even from your phone. And if you’d rather focus on what you do best, I offer ongoing maintenance too.

I handle all of it domain registration or transfer, secure hosting, bandwidth, SSL certificates, and business email setups. You’ll have everything in place and ready to go once we launch.

No worries – you don’t need to have everything prepared upfront. I can help with content creation, stock images, and guidance on structure. My aim is to relieve the pressure and guide you through each step and decision.
