Personal Highlights

Starting the Week Right

Monday kicked off with an early breakfast at Salteñeria Hamacas, indulging in delicious salteñas paired with a fresh strawberry juice—a perfect way to start the day. Once home, I spent some time outside organizing my day using my Kindle Scribe, which I’ve had for over a year and absolutely love for planning and note-taking. The rest of the day was a mix of light learning and work, keeping things productive but relaxed.

Planning and Productivity

Tuesday started with a trip to buy mate, a traditional South American tea. Back home, I focused on planning, inspired by the book Make Time, which promotes choosing one key highlight task per day to ensure meaningful progress. The day flew by, and in the evening, we treated ourselves to pizza and Netflix. I also picked up a new book, What’s Your Dream? by Simon Squibb, hoping for some fresh inspiration.

Midweek Errands and Networking

Wednesday was an early start for an 8 a.m. Zokit networking meeting, which went well. Afterward, we headed out to exchange some money—a routine I’m keeping to every two weeks. Currently, I’m spending around $200 per fortnight, averaging about £80 per week. While out, we stopped for bubble tea at the local market and took a stroll through the art, book, and plant stalls before doing a quick food shop and heading home.

Fitness and Relaxation

Thursday was a big day as we finally joined the local gym! It’s just a few minutes’ walk from the house, making it super convenient. We got in a good session of running and weights, then cooled off with a swim at home. Later in the evening, we visited a local cafe where I tried a coco rosa (a blend of coconut and strawberry), which was absolutely refreshing.

Tackling Visa Paperwork

Friday was all about bureaucracy as we visited Interpol to kickstart my 12-month visa process. They provided a detailed list of documents needed, including three certificates—two from the local police and one from El Palacio de Justicia. It looks like a mountain of paperwork, but we’ll tackle it step by step, starting next week. Afterward, we grabbed lunch at our favorite spot, Buddha Bowls, then relaxed in the main square before heading home to cook a homemade chili for dinner.

A Relaxing Weekend

The weekend was all about unwinding. We stayed home, did some online learning, and on Sunday morning, we treated ourselves to salteñas again, followed by an afternoon açaí ice cream—a well-deserved sweet treat

Work Updates

Experimenting with YouTube Shorts

On Monday, I uploaded a YouTube Short featuring the local capybaras, and it quickly became my most-liked video so far! It’s been interesting experimenting with Shorts as part of my Digital Marketing workshops. I also dedicated time to optimising various pages on my website.

Website Work and Business Planning

Tuesday was heavily focused on completing website pages. At one point, I had a minor crisis when several pages disappeared due to a global settings issue—a true nightmare! Despite the hiccup, I made good progress and continued refining the new business structure, aiming for a proper launch in March with masterclasses and a bootcamp.

Balancing Work and Productivity

Wednesday was mostly spent out and about, so I didn’t do much work. I’m trying to get better at working smarter, not harder—focusing on fewer, high-impact tasks rather than constantly being busy.

Technical Issues and Troubleshooting

Thursday and Friday were spent fine-tuning website pages and tackling some platform issues that required contacting support. It’s been a bit frustrating, but it’s all part of the process of getting the business fully operational.

Goals and Challenges for 2025

1. Healthy Body and Mind

Achievement: Joined the gym! It’s a great step toward staying active and maintaining a healthy routine while traveling.

2. Embrace the Digital Nomad Lifestyle

So far, I’m fully embracing the nomad life. It feels great to be in control of my schedule and work on my own terms.

3. Learn Spanish

This is where I’m falling behind. I haven’t been prioritising it, but I need to push myself to talk to locals and find a structured way to improve.

4. Enjoy the Ride

I’m absolutely loving it here! Every now and then, financial concerns creep in since I’m not making much income yet and relying on Airbnb to cover my house expenses. Hopefully, that will change in March or April when my business fully launches.

Books / Reading

This week, I picked up What’s Your Dream? by Simon Squibb. I’ve seen his content on Instagram, and since the book is a UK bestseller, I’m hoping it provides some valuable insights. I’ll share my thoughts once I get further into it.
